Umerov awarded the defenders who shot down a Russian cruise missile using a portable air defense system.

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov awarded former instructor Natalia Grabarchuk and her sister, who used a portable Igla anti-aircraft missile system to shoot down a Russian X-101 cruise missile during a massive attack on November 11. This was announced by Umerov on his social media page on Tuesday, November 20.   He mentioned that the missile was filmed being shot down by senior soldier Olga Maximienko, while her colleague Valentina Steblevets was monitoring the air situation with a tablet and relaying critical target information.   "A precise shot, accurate coordination, and joyful emotions of victory. Today, I had the honor to meet personally with three incredible defenders who have become a symbol of professionalism and bravery. Their coordinated efforts allowed us to protect an important critical infrastructure facility in the Rivne region by shooting down the Russian X-101. You have surely seen the video of this combat operation," Umerov noted.   It is worth recalling that on the morning of November 17, soldier Natalia Grabarchuk destroyed an enemy cruise missile using the Igla MANPADS.   Additionally, on the night of November 17, Russian forces launched a massive combined strike against Ukraine's energy sector facilities using various types of missiles and attack drones.
