Talking on the phone without a headset while driving is prohibited in Ukraine - Ukrainians are warned that a monetary penalty is imposed for violations.
This is mentioned in the Traffic Rules (PDD of Ukraine).
According to Ukrainian legislation, phone conversations while driving are not allowed. If a driver violates this rule, they may face a fine of 510 hryvnias.
As stated in section 2.9 (d) of the Traffic Rules (PDD), it is forbidden to use a mobile phone while operating a vehicle if it is held in hand.
To avoid breaking the rules and incurring a fine, drivers are advised to use a "hands-free" headset, which allows them to communicate on the phone without taking their hands off the wheel. If using such a device is not possible, and the driver urgently needs to answer a call, they should pull over to the roadside and continue driving only after the conversation.
