On the night of November 26 to 27, 2024, Ukraine faced yet another massive attack from the Russian aggressor. The enemy deployed 89 strike drones of the "Shahed" type and unidentified drones, launched from the territories of the Orlovsk, Bryansk, Kursk regions, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF). This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force.

To counter this attack, aviation forces, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) resources, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were engaged. Thanks to the effective actions of our defenders, the destructive effects of the attack were significantly reduced. As of 9:00 AM, 36 enemy drones had been destroyed in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv regions. Additionally, another 48 drones were likely lost due to active countermeasures from the EW resources of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, while five drones exited the airspace controlled by Ukraine, returning towards Belarus, Russia, and temporarily occupied territories.

In Kyiv region, due to the debris from enemy drones falling, private and multi-apartment houses, as well as the property of local residents, were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries.

The Air Force urges citizens to remain in shelters during air raid alerts, avoid approaching crash sites, and follow the instructions of local authorities. Ukraine continues to demonstrate resolute resistance to the aggressor, and the Armed Forces are working daily to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
