The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sibiga, stated that Ukraine is interested in utilizing the building of the Russian Consulate General in Poznań and has already sent a corresponding request to the Polish side. This was reported by Ukrinform.
According to him, this facility becomes available following Warsaw's decision to close the Russian consulate.
"I am grateful to my Polish colleague for this proposal. We have already sent an official note to the Polish side with the relevant request and are awaiting specific details," he stated.
Sibiga emphasized that a significant number of Ukrainian citizens reside in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, which is why Kyiv considers Poznań a promising location for expanding its consular presence in Poland.
