Strike on Sumy: the number of injured has increased.

As a result of a bombing strike by Russian aggressors on the residential area of the Svetsk community in the Sumy region, five individuals sustained injuries, including two children. This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office on Saturday, January 4.

"At approximately 14:30, employing methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the enemy dropped, according to preliminary data, two guided aerial bombs on the civilian infrastructure of the Svetsk community in the Shostka district. One explosive device struck a five-story residential building. The second hit a nearby residential area," the statement reads.

As a result of the occupiers' attack, five civilians were injured, including two children - a 2-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.

A pre-trial investigation is underway regarding the commission of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Recall that today the Russians dropped a bomb on a high-rise building in the Sumy region. Currently, an emergency rescue operation is in progress. It is likely that there may still be people trapped under the rubble.
