Ukrainians have been informed about the prices of essential food products, specifically buckwheat, sugar, and sunflower oil.

According to the portal Minfin, the prices of these staple goods, which are crucial in the diets of Ukrainians, remain under close scrutiny by consumers.

As per monitoring data from major retail chains, the price of buckwheat remained unchanged in January compared to December 2024, averaging 33.02 UAH per kilogram. However, the price may vary depending on the store you choose for your shopping. The cost of this product ranges from 27.90 UAH at Auchan to 40.00 UAH at MegaMarket.

Sugar also maintains its price stability. Its average cost is 34.57 UAH per kilogram, which is nearly consistent with December prices. Most retail chains sell sugar at around 32.90 UAH, while in MegaMarket, it is significantly higher at 39.60 UAH.

Sunflower oil, however, has experienced a slight increase. Refined "Oлейна" oil currently costs 67.62 UAH for 850 ml, which is 2 UAH more than in December. "Щедрый Дар" oil is priced at 73.23 UAH for the same amount. Prices for oil in stores vary from 69.90 to 75.29 UAH, indicating significant fluctuations in the cost of this product.
