The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has instructed each brigade commander to establish a unit for personnel recruitment. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their official Facebook account.
"The relevant organizational directive outlines the task of forming designated recruitment units within combat military units. This innovation will enable commanders to enhance the organization and support of volunteer recruitment activities," the statement reads.
It is also specified that on October 1, 2024, at the initiative of the General Staff, amendments were made to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated May 16, 2024, No. 560, which now permits commanders to accept volunteers directly into military units, bypassing territorial recruitment and social support centers.
"Previously, recruitment centers operated within the Ground Forces, Navy, Air Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, and Territorial Defense. Today, they continue to actively develop and improve their capabilities," the General Staff added.
As a reminder, each day brings us closer to defeat: the General Staff updated the losses of the Russian army for the day. Find out about the total combat losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine as of November 25, 2024: over 732,000 personnel, thousands of units of equipment, including tanks, UAVs, and artillery systems.
