It has been revealed how many military personnel Canada has trained for Ukraine over the past decade.

Canada has trained nearly 43,000 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past decade. This was stated on Sunday, January 19, by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, following a meeting with the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces, General Jennie Carignan.   Syrskyi informed General Carignan about the current situation at the front and outlined the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in terms of weapons and equipment. In particular, they discussed Ukraine's requirements for air and missile defense, protection of critical infrastructure and the residential sector from aerial and missile attacks, and the expansion of the defense industry's capabilities.   Syrskyi emphasized Canada's significant role in enhancing Ukrainian military capabilities, particularly within the frameworks of coalitions for the development of unmanned systems, air forces, armored vehicles, and information technologies.   The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine highlighted that Ukraine greatly appreciates Canada's ongoing support, as well as the contributions of its government, Armed Forces, and people in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.   Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with the Chief of the Defence Staff of Canada, General Jennie Carignan.   Canada allocated military aid to Ukraine amounting to 440 million Canadian dollars (over 300 million US dollars). Half of this amount is designated for the purchase of ammunition. The remaining funds will be used for the production of drones and for winter gear for the soldiers.   The promised NASAMS system from Canada has been delivered to Ukraine
