Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga will visit New York on November 18, where he will speak at a special high-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
On November 18 at 3:30 PM Eastern Time and 10:30 PM Kyiv time, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting as the duration of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine approaches 1000 days, as reported by Ukraine’s representative to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsya, on his social media page X.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will visit New York on November 18, where he will speak at a special high-level meeting of the UN Security Council amid escalating Russian aggression and terror.
"This important measure was convened at Ukraine's initiative by the United Kingdom, which currently holds the presidency of the UN Security Council, to draw the world's attention to the ongoing aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine," the message states.
Sybiha also plans to hold a series of bilateral meetings in New York to strengthen support for Ukraine.
It is worth noting that, according to The New York Times, U.S. President Joe Biden has, for the first time, authorized Ukrainian forces to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory.
