Employees of the TCK should have the right to use force and open fire for self-defense, according to military officials.

Sergey Sokolov, a sergeant in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shares the challenges faced by TCK personnel while carrying out their duties.

Employees of the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC) often face challenges in fulfilling their duties due to active resistance from citizens. Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrei Sokolov noted in an interview with "Your City" the need to expand the powers of such employees, including the right to use force and open fire in cases of self-defense.

"They do not have the right to use force; they walk unarmed and are subject to attacks. If a person has been to war and is now serving in the TRC, and is insulted by some scoundrels, he may lose his temper and resort to force," he stated.

He pointed out that without such measures, fulfilling mobilization tasks becomes difficult. Sokolov indicated that in conflict situations, citizens often refuse to acknowledge their guilt, leading to accusations against TRC employees and law enforcement services.

The sergeant emphasized that attacks on TRC employees in a state of martial law are absolutely unacceptable.

"We need to enable the use of physical force against draft evaders, prohibit any physical actions against military personnel. The right to shoot should be granted. Shoot. Because this is an attack on a serviceman while performing his duties during wartime," he added.
