As of today, the situation in Ukraine's energy sector remains challenging but is under the control of "Ukrenergo" dispatchers, stated Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting. According to him, the power supply system maintains its integrity despite numerous challenges.
Shmyhal noted that energy workers, rescuers, and sappers are working around the clock, without breaks, to minimize the impact of enemy attacks on energy infrastructure. Efforts to address the damage are ongoing, and although emergency power outages have been lifted in all regions of the country, scheduled outages are still being implemented to prevent network overload.
Ukraine continues to import electricity from Europe to ensure stable power supply during the crisis. At the same time, the government has made an important decision to support businesses: companies that import or produce at least 60% of their consumption on their own can rest assured about outages.
The Minister of Energy and the head of "Ukrenergo" regularly report to the public, providing updates on the state of the energy system, the work done, and the steps being taken to ensure the stability of power supply.
