Air defense forces shot down 50 enemy drones.

The defense forces shot down 50 drones that Russian troops used to attack Ukraine starting the evening of January 25, while an additional nine enemy drone imitators were lost without negative consequences. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, on the night of January 26, Russian forces launched an attack with 72 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of drone imitators targeting: Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia.

The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9:00 AM, the downing of 50 strike drones of the Shahed type and other types of drones has been confirmed in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Khmelnytskyi regions.

Meanwhile, nine enemy drone imitators were lost without negative consequences.

"One UAV is still in the air; combat operations are ongoing," the statement added.

We remind you that the one thousand sixty-eighth day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. In total, 167 combat encounters were recorded in the past day.

Overall, in the past day the losses of Russian invaders amounted to 1,720 personnel. Additionally, Ukrainian warriors neutralized 9 tanks, 4 infantry fighting vehicles, 14 artillery systems, 40 operational-tactical level drones, and 53 vehicles of the occupiers.
