The aggressor country, Russia, will not grant peace in Ukraine. However, it can be compelled to achieve a just peace through joint efforts. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address on Saturday, February 1. Commenting on today's Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, the head of state mentioned that Ukraine is working to attract more resources from partners to strengthen its domestic air defense system. "Protection from shelling is an absolute priority. There is still much to be done, but every partner in the world who helps with this is a lifesaver. And this is what the whole world should be thinking about right now: about life, about working together, about putting pressure on the aggressor, and about getting closer to the real peace that Russia will not provide. Zelensky reminded that Russians would not be able to carry out such attacks if sanctions were more effective and Moscow did not receive Western components for the production of drones and missiles. Without such critical components, Russia would have no opportunity to disrupt the lives of other nations. Therefore, it is critically important that sanctions are genuinely strong and cannot be circumvented under any circumstances. Violating sanctions should be treated as complicity in war, and those who assist in destroying lives must be held accountable," the president concluded. Recall that on the night of Saturday, Russia launched a combined strike on Ukraine with missiles of various types and drones. In total, the enemy used 165 aerial attack assets. Explosions were reported in Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, and several regions of Ukraine. The most casualties occurred in Poltava, where a Russian missile struck a residential high-rise building. According to the latest reports, there are 8 dead and 17 injured. The SBU identified the organizer of the production of 13 thousand "Shahed" drones in Russia
