Commissioner Dmitry Lubinets has reached out to the ICRC and the UN, urging them to condemn this act of war and to increase pressure on Russia.

Russian occupying forces have once again egregiously violated the norms and customs of warfare by executing three Ukrainian prisoners of war near the settlement of Neskuchne, located in the Donetsk region. This was reported by DeepState and the Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets.

"On January 3, the enemy was conducting an assault on the positions of the 141st Separate Brigade east of point 160.9. The soldiers surrendered, their hands were tied, and they were taken in front of the positions and shot in the back of the head. If the brigade is interested in finding the criminals, we hope they will provide the video to law enforcement agencies," the statement reads.

Experts note that the killings and mistreatment of Ukrainian prisoners have become a systematic practice, encouraged at the highest military-political level in Russia.

The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, stated that he immediately submitted a corresponding appeal to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations, demanding a response to this outrageous act.

"These organizations must condemn this crime and exert pressure on the Russian side to halt such acts. Ukraine remains committed to adhering to humanitarian law even during wartime, but we will not allow Russia to turn the world into a lawless territory. Those responsible must be punished!" Lubinets declared.

Let us remind you that a man attempted to set fire to flags on Independence Square: police are identifying the offender. A video has surfaced on social media showing a man trying to ignite flags that were installed in honor of fallen soldiers on Independence Square.
