This week, Russian forces launched attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas of Ukraine, employing approximately 1250 aerial bombs and over 750 strike drones. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, January 26.
"Over the past week, Ukraine has faced hundreds of Russian assaults using various types of weapons: around 1250 aerial bombs, more than 750 strike drones, and over 20 missiles of different types," the head of state reported.
He emphasized that only determination can halt such terrorists. He assured that Ukraine is continuously collaborating with partners to enhance our defense capabilities and reduce Russia's ability to terrorize Ukraine.
"Long-range capabilities are crucial. Sanctions are important. Reducing oil prices is vital. The key is to act in unity and resolutely defend life," Zelensky added.
Recall that at the end of December, Zelensky appealed to the USA and Europe, reminding them of their promise to supply a significant number of air defense systems as compensation for the inability to invite Ukraine to NATO.
Recently, it was reported that Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff focused on drone procurement for the year 2025.
