The client of "PrivatBank" shared their experience regarding the hefty fee charged when purchasing goods online using credit funds – "PrivatBank" did not notify them about additional costs.

This information came to light through a complaint published on the Minfin website.

A user of "PrivatBank" services explained how they made a payment for goods on the popular marketplace prom.ua using credit funds. Typically, the bank informs customers about the fee amount, but this time there was no information provided. Consequently, a fee of nearly 900 hryvnias was deducted from their account.

In response to the client’s inquiries, "PrivatBank" representatives clarified on the portal that a fee of up to 4% may be charged when using credit funds, as purchases on the marketplace are considered money transfers.

Some users noted that banks should blacklist such platforms to prevent similar situations. Otherwise, in their view, the P2P payment scheme should not apply to such purchases. It was also suggested to refrain from using credit funds for online purchases, as this often benefits banks rather than clients.
