Border guards launched an attack on the enemy in the Volchansk direction.

Border guards are delivering powerful strikes against the enemy. The artillerymen of the Hart Brigade are tirelessly operating in the Volchansk direction, eliminating dozens of Russian soldiers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on Sunday, January 5.

It is noted that the fighters targeted trench lines, bunkers, and firing positions of the occupiers, along with AGS-17 and SPG-9 grenade launchers, a convoy with engineering equipment and a generator, and locations of troop concentration.   In total, the border guards neutralized 34 occupiers.   Recall that Ukrainian defenders continue to actively counter the Russian aggressor, inflicting losses on personnel and equipment. In total, there have been 106 combat clashes since the beginning of the day.   Additionally, two Ukrainian soldiers from the assault group of the 79th Air Assault Brigade captured 14 Russian soldiers.   The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a command post of the Russian Federation in Kursk.
