On November 11, emergency power outage schedules were implemented in Ukraine as a preventive measure due to a potential missile threat. Such actions are planned to continue in the future if similar risks arise. This information was shared by Yuriy Boyko, an advisor to the Prime Minister and a member of the supervisory board of "Ukrenergo," during a broadcast on "Suspilne".
"In fact, the energy sector had to respond to the extensive deployment of the enemy's strategic bombers. You would agree that it is quite rare to find another instance where such a large number of resources were mobilized by the aggressor for a simulated strike," he stated.
According to him, these outages are being implemented to minimize the potential consequences of attacks on the energy system in several regions. Additionally, Yuriy Boyko noted that the emergency outage schedules have already been lifted and power supply will soon be restored for all consumers.
It is worth mentioning that in Ukraine, emergency power outages were introduced due to the threat of Russian attacks. Emergency power outages began in several regions of Ukraine on the morning of November 11.
