Passport control has been implemented at the Crimean Bridge. All individuals departing towards the temporarily occupied peninsula are being checked. This was reported by Russian media on Saturday, January 25.   According to the so-called "Deputy Minister of Transport of Crimea," Alexander Ovdiienko, the new checks are part of enhanced security measures.   The official referred to the decree of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding the introduction of a heightened response level in Crimea and the Krasnodar Krai of Russia, as well as an order from the head of Krasnodar Krai about the indefinite introduction of a yellow level of terrorist threat in the region.   Checks at the Crimean Bridge began following the explosion of a cargo truck in October 2022.
