In the Volchansk direction and around Liptsy in the Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are restraining Russian occupiers and depleting their resources.

This was reported by military-political analyst Alexander Kovalenko from the "Information Resistance" group on his Telegram channel.

According to the military expert, if we manage to completely drive the Russians out of these two areas in Kharkiv region now, the occupiers will be able to concentrate the released resources elsewhere or across multiple fronts.

Alexander Kovalenko emphasized that the enemy's attempt to advance in the Kharkiv region has yielded no operational-tactical or even tactical successes, costing them thousands of personnel. Moreover, the enemy command has trapped itself, as they cannot easily withdraw from the Kharkiv region, especially ahead of Trump's inauguration scheduled for January 20.

Therefore, according to the military analyst, Russia will cling to northern Kharkiv until the last moment and funnel additional resources into that area.

"Northern Kharkiv serves as a restraining zone, where the enemy is continuously ground down, unable to withdraw troops for assistance in other areas, such as the Kursk group, or reinforce them, as there are no resources available for that," added Alexander Kovalenko.
