Military personnel classified as "limited fit" are required by law to undergo a re-examination by the military medical commission (VMC) before February 4. This was announced on Friday, January 24, by Irina Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the President's Office. According to her, over a million individuals with this status simply will not be able to meet the legal requirements by February 4, as they have not received a summons for a medical examination or cannot obtain one now due to queues at territorial recruitment and social support centers. Vereshchuk promises to investigate in the future "who is responsible for the unsatisfactory organization of the process." Currently, the Verkhovna Rada is working on amendments to the legislation to extend the deadline for undergoing the VMC. Additionally, the President's Office assures that they will not impose fines on those who fail to complete the examination on time and will work with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health to establish appropriate schedules for the VMC and citizen summonses. At the same time, Vereshchuk reminds that all military personnel with the now-abolished "limited" status must undergo a medical examination, as required by law. It was previously reported that in Reserve+, they have started
testing electronic referrals for the VMC.
