The U.S. State Department has updated its travel recommendations for Ukraine, lowering the risk level for nine regions. This is reported on the website of the department.
Specifically, the alert level for Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions has been changed from level four ("Do Not Travel") to level three ("Reconsider Travel"). This decision is based on improvements in the air defense system and the distance of these areas from active combat zones.
However, the agency emphasized that U.S. citizens must closely monitor official announcements, as well as news from local and international media, as the situation in Ukraine remains unstable and fluid.
"Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine continues, and even regions far from the front line may become targets for Russian missiles and drones. Travelers should pay close attention to air raid alerts and find shelter," the State Department noted.
It is worth recalling that Kosiniak-Kamysz criticized Zelensky: assistance to Ukraine has limits concerning Poland's security. Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated the limits of support for Ukraine, criticizing Zelensky's position. Poland emphasizes its own security.
