Russian forces are preparing to strike in Donbas, but they are facing losses and challenges.
The occupiers are currently continuing to accumulate personnel in the area of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk in the Donetsk region, preparing for a potential attack. This was reported by Anastasia Bobovnikova, the spokesperson for the operational-tactical grouping of troops "Luhansk."
According to her, the enemy is actively reinforcing their professional military units with well-equipped personnel who have a high level of staffing.
"The assault on Chasiv Yar is complicated by the lack of necessary crossings over the canal, which is under constant fire from Ukrainian artillery. Our defenders continue to maintain control over this area, hindering the enemy's maneuvers," Bobovnikova stated.
In the Toretsk direction, the situation has changed somewhat: the intensity of assaults has decreased, and the actions of the occupiers have become less active. At the same time, the use of a larger number of personnel is leading to significant losses among Russian troops, who are losing about 50–70 soldiers daily.
Additionally, according to military expert Roman Svitan, Russian forces are aiming to advance towards Torsk, heading to Lyman with the goal of crossing the Black Horse River. This direction is part of a strategy aimed at encircling Slavyansk from multiple sides.
