While defending Ukraine, the head of the Public Council under the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema, film producer Stanislav Prytula, was killed at the front. This was reported by the agency's press service on Sunday, January 26.
"On January 22, 2025, while defending Ukraine, the chairman of the Public Council under the State Cinema Agency, film producer, and unwavering defender of Ukraine Stanislav Prytula lost his life. Stanislav was not only an artist but also a Man with a capital letter - sensitive, devoted to his work, and deeply concerned about what happens in the world," the statement noted.
The State Cinema Agency expressed its sincere gratitude for his many years of fruitful work, selflessness, and unwavering support for Ukrainian cinema.
"From the very first days of the war, he stood up to defend his homeland, giving his life for its future. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew and appreciated Stanislav. His courage, talent, and dedication will remain an example for us," the agency added.
Stanislav was born in Kyiv. He received his education from the Kyiv National Linguistic University. He later worked at the State Cinema Agency and then held the position of head of the film department at FAMILY Production.
However, with the onset of full-scale war, he took up arms to defend Ukraine from the very first days of the enemy invasion.
In October, 32-year-old former player of the Ukrainian youth national football team, combat medic Dmytro Bohachev was killed in the war.
