As of the evening of January 5, there have already been 177 combat encounters on the front. This was noted in the summary from the General Staff on Sunday. The enemy launched a missile strike with two missiles, carried out 52 airstrikes (77 KAB), and employed 930 kamikaze drones for attacks. There have been over 4200 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas. On the Kharkiv front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy attacks near Volchansk. On the Kupyansk front, the enemy attempted to advance four times throughout the day near Nova Kruhlyakovka, Lozova, and Synkivka. All enemy attacks have been repelled. On the Lyman front, the invading army attacked 12 times in the areas of Nadiya, Tverdokhlebove, Zarechne, Novosergeivka, and Pervomaiske. Three attacks are still ongoing. On the Seversk front, our troops repelled one enemy attack in the vicinity of Bilohorivka. On the Kramatorsk front, enemy activity resulted in four combat encounters near Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, and Predtechine. Fighting is currently ongoing. On the Toretsk front, there are seven combat encounters taking place near Toretsk and Shcherbinivka, with our defenders halting five enemy assaults in the regions of Toretsk and Krymske. The enemy made 50 attempts to breach our defenses on the Pokrovsk front. Since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attacked in the areas of the settlements of Yelyzavetivka, Vozdvizhenska, Myrolubivka, Luch, Lisivka, Novyi Trud, Pyschane, Solene, Novovasyliivka, Novoizavetivka, and Yasenovo. Thirty-one of the enemy's offensive actions have been stopped by our defense forces, while 19 attacks are still ongoing. According to preliminary information, today our soldiers neutralized 300 occupiers in this direction, with 130 of them being irretrievable losses. One tank, four armored personnel carriers, six units of enemy automotive equipment, one artillery system, and 10 UAVs were destroyed. Additionally, two artillery systems, a vehicle, and an enemy tank were damaged. On the Kurakhove front, the enemy attacked our positions near Slavyanka, Petro-Pavlivka, Kurakhove, and Dachne. Currently, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled 22 enemy attacks, with three combat encounters still ongoing. On the Vremivka front, our troops repelled 13 enemy attacks near the settlements of Yantarne, Novyi Komar, Novodarivka, and in the direction of Konstantinopil, with defense forces repelling five of them, while eight combat encounters are still ongoing. On the Dniprovsk front, Russian invaders attacked our positions once. They faced stiff resistance and incurred losses. The Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region, with reports indicating 44 combat encounters, 35 of which have already concluded. Fighting is ongoing. Meanwhile, there have been no significant changes on other fronts. The General Staff praised the effective and professional combat work of the soldiers from the 68th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, the 14th Operational Brigade named after Ivan Bohun, and the 425th Separate Assault Battalion Skala, who are effectively destroying the enemy and inflicting damage on their equipment.
