Two men attempting to escape to Romania were detained on the banks of the Tisza River.

In Transcarpathia, border patrol apprehended two men who were attempting to illegally cross the border into Romania.

On the banks of the Tisza River in Transcarpathia, a border patrol from the Mukachevo Border Detachment apprehended two men attempting to illegally cross the border into Romania. The incident occurred near the "Hrushevo" outpost, where the violators, risking their lives, tried to swim across the river without any means of flotation. This was reported by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine - Western Border.

The border patrol that detected the violators included fourth-year cadets from the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky, who are currently undergoing internships in the Mukachevo Border Detachment. The young border guards demonstrated a high level of professionalism, successfully apprehending the violators just 50 meters from the state border.

The detained men were residents of Kyiv and Vinnytsia regions. According to them, they paid substantial sums of money to smugglers for organizing their illegal escape abroad. One of the men paid 13,000 US dollars, while the other paid 6,000 dollars.

Law enforcement officials have already drawn up protocols for administrative violations under articles 204-1 and 185.10 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. The court will provide a legal assessment of their actions. Currently, operatives from the Mukachevo Border Detachment are continuing the investigation and identifying individuals involved in organizing the illegal border crossing.

It is worth noting that Lviv region became the first in Ukraine to have no religious community of the Moscow Patriarchate remaining. Lviv region was the first in Ukraine where there are no longer any religious communities of the Moscow Patriarchate.
