The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has issued a statement to all citizens in light of the intensified massive strikes on the energy infrastructure. This was announced by the agency on its Facebook page on Monday, November 18. The Ministry specifically urged:

  • Do not publish photos, videos, or any information about the consequences of the strikes.
  • Do not disclose information about the targets of the attacks, damage, impacts, or restoration efforts.
  • Do not discuss potential strikes, energy maps, or the status of facilities.

"This applies to everyone: government bodies, enterprises, media representatives, Telegram channels, social networks, and every citizen," the ministry emphasizes. The agency's message notes that disclosing such information poses a serious danger to the country, as the enemy uses this data to coordinate new attacks. "The ministry provides the minimum necessary information for security reasons. Energy workers are doing everything possible to keep the system stable and restore power to Ukrainians. Let’s unite our efforts! We will not allow the enemy to achieve their goal of leaving us in the dark," the Ministry of Energy concluded. As is known, on Sunday morning, Russian forces began a massive air assault on Ukraine using drones and missiles. According to DTEK, emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Additionally, Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, later stated that after Russia attacked power generation and transmission facilities across the country, emergency outages are being introduced.
