Subscribe"Ternopilvodokanal" has accumulated about 80 million hryvnias in debt to the Ministry of Finance and insists on raising tariffs for residential consumers.
"We provide services and are essentially operating at a loss. The Ministry of Finance has the right to freeze accounts if we fail to pay for electricity, salaries, or purchase materials for repairs — this will lead to our inability to provide services", stated the director of the utility, Vladimir Kuzma.
The official noted that this is not just a problem for "Ternopilvodokanal"; similar situations exist across all water utilities in the country. However, the NKREKP has not yet permitted a recalculation of prices, keeping tariffs "frozen" based on the Cabinet's recommendations.
