The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsykiv, stated on Thursday, January 30, that something might happen to him "physically or otherwise." He shared this message on his Facebook page.
"I just want to say: I have never bent to anyone. Those who have their own opinion are not liked! Therefore, if something were to happen to me (physically or otherwise), know that I trust the secretary of the city council, Viktor Sinishin," Martsykiv wrote.
In his post, he noted that Sinishin is a "decent and responsible person" who is legally able to perform duties in managing the community. However, the mayor did not specify what exactly prompted his statement or what threats he was referring to.
The publication sparked a lively reaction among social media users, with many comments expressing curiosity about what had happened and the reason behind such a concerning message.
