Massive attacks by Russia: devastation in Uman and casualties in the Kherson region.

In the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 20 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, utilizing 43 guided aerial bombs (GAB) and over 820 kamikaze drones. According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy also continued night attacks using drones and artillery in frontline regions.

Cherkasy Region. The night in the region was unsettling. Air defense forces were actively engaged; however, enemy strikes still caused damage to the Uman region, reported the head of the OGA, Igor Taburets. Efforts to eliminate the consequences are ongoing in the affected areas. A headquarters has been set up on-site to coordinate the actions of utility services.

The mayor of Uman, Irina Pletneva, clarified that energy workers are focused on restoring electricity, while water supply and sewage are being provided through the operation of generators.

Kherson Region. Throughout the day, dozens of settlements were under fire and airstrikes, including Belozersk, Novokairy, Tyahynka, Krasny Mayak, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Berislav, Kherson, and many others. According to data from OGA head Alexander Prokudin, Russian troops targeted social infrastructure and residential areas, damaging an apartment building, 10 private homes, a garage, a warehouse, and agricultural machinery. Two people were killed, and two others were injured.

Zaporizhzhia Region. As a result of a Russian strike in the Vasylivka district, four people were injured: two women and two men. OVA chairman Ivan Fedorov reported that there were 362 strikes across the region in a single day, including 8 airstrikes on Stepnohirsk.

Russian drones attacked Kamenske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Additionally, there were 7 shellings from MLRS on Novodanilivka and Novodarivka, along with 145 artillery strikes on several settlements in the region. A total of 35 facilities were damaged, including residential buildings, vehicles, and an educational institution.

Dnipropetrovsk Region. Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district twice with Grad MLRS and the same number of times with heavy artillery. The district center and Pokrovska hromada were hit. According to the words of OGA head Serhiy Lysak, there were no casualties or injuries.

Mykolaiv Region. On the night of January 28, air defense forces successfully engaged enemy targets, reported OGA head Vitaliy Kim. Details are expected to be clarified later.

On January 27, Russian troops attacked the waters of the Ochakiv hromada five times with FPV drones and twice targeted the town of Ochakiv itself. There were no casualties. Additionally, 12 FPV drone attacks were recorded in the Kutsurub hromada, where the roofs and windows of two private houses in the village of Dmytrivka were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

It is worth noting that Russian forces attacked the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in 4 injuries and significant damage to homes. As a result of a massive shelling of the village of Stepnohirsk by Russian troops on January 27, a nine-story building was destroyed, injuring 4 people.
