The Kremlin aims to accelerate mobilization efforts in the occupied territories.

This spring, the Kremlin intends to increase the mobilization plan for Ukrainians with higher education for compulsory military service.
Кремль намерен ускорить мобилизацию на захваченных территориях.
The occupying administrations have begun compiling lists of residents from the captured territories of Ukraine for forced conscription into the ranks of the Russian army. This was reported on Friday, January 10, by the Center for National Resistance (CNS). According to CNS, the Kremlin plans to expand the mobilization of Ukrainians for mandatory military service in the spring, despite the poor results of the autumn campaign. "The optimism of the occupiers is based on expanding the staff of 'military committees' and the passportization process," the statement reads. It is noted that young Ukrainians are being pressured to sign contracts for further deployment to the front lines. Most residents of the temporarily occupied territories who were mobilized in the autumn are serving in Crimea.

Recall that the occupying Russian authorities in the temporarily occupied Melitopol in the Zaporizhia region are urging local residents to "Russify" their Ukrainian surnames when changing their passports to Russian ones.

Additionally, in the temporarily occupied territories, the occupiers plan to strip Ukrainians of their right to reside if they do not have Russian citizenship by 2025.
