Conflict with a podcaster: Ukraine takes on Joe Rogan.

The author of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, American Joe Rogan, launched a tirade against Vladimir Zelensky during one of his episodes.
Конфликт между подкастером и Украиной: противостояние с Джо Роганом.

Joe Rogan is the host of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, The Joe Rogan Experience, which airs on YouTube and Spotify. Each of his episodes typically garners millions of views—primarily due to Rogan's image as someone who speaks his mind and shares whatever comes to him.

He started out as a stand-up comedian but later became very popular in the U.S. as a boxing commentator. He was regarded as one of the best commentators for mixed martial arts (MMA) fights. It was during Rogan's show that Elon Musk smoked marijuana—this episode has since gone viral. In the presidential elections, Joe Rogan openly supported Donald Trump.

Zelensky and World War III

In an episode featuring producer Scott Storch, Rogan cursed at Zelensky, claiming that he, along with President Biden, is provoking World War III.

“Zelensky says that Putin is terrified. Go f*** yourself!” Rogan stated. In the original, Rogan used the phrase “f*** you,” which is the most common English profanity. “You people are about to start World War III!” he continued.

The podcaster was referring to the fact that recently the U.S. allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike targets deep within Russian territory using American ATACMS missiles.

“We voted for Trump. And he wants to end all this crap. Let’s hope he can do it,” Rogan added.

Ukrainians' Response

Boxer Vladimir Klitschko recorded a message to Rogan, accusing him of “repeating Putin's propaganda.”

“Putin's Russia is in trouble, so they want to scare you and people like you. This war was supposed to last three days, but it has already lasted three years—thanks to the heroism and sacrifices of my people. Therefore, you are using the only weapon that Putin really plans to use: propaganda,” Klitschko said in the video.

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba also responded.

“Attacking Ukrainians and not giving them a chance to speak is not a fair fight. If you want to have a real conversation, let’s sit down and talk about anything related to Ukraine… You know your stuff, I know mine. I’ll bring the cigars,” Kuleba wrote in a message to Rogan, who is also known for his love of cigars.
