Major General Drapaty has been appointed as the commander of "Khortytsia."

As part of the latest rotation of the command staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the personnel of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia" has been introduced to a new commander - Major General Mykola Drapaty. This step represents a significant phase in ensuring a stable defensive situation in the southern direction, where considerable enemy forces are concentrated. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

He noted that Major General Drapaty has many years of experience serving in the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His appointment to this key position signifies the continuation of the strategic defense line and the strengthening of command in the "Khortytsia" area of responsibility. In his speech, the new commander emphasized the need to hold the front, conduct active offensive actions, and ensure significant losses for the Russian occupiers.

During the official introduction, Major General Andrii Hnatov, who previously led the OSUV "Khortytsia," expressed gratitude to the personnel for their fruitful cooperation and work in the position. He will continue his service in a new role as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The enemy is concentrating its greatest forces precisely in the areas related to the operational zone of OSUV 'Khortytsia'. Our task is to hold the line, inflict maximum losses on the Russian occupiers, and take care of the Ukrainian defenders," added Syrskyi.
