The government has dismissed the deputy minister accused of humiliating a veteran.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to dismiss Ruslana Velychko-Tryfonyuk from her position as Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs.

The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs Ruslana Velychko-Tryfonyuk, who was accused of unethical behavior.

"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Ruslana Velychko-Tryfonyuk from the position of Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine for European Integration issues," reported government representative Taras Melnychuk in his Telegram.

Prior to this, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs announced that it had initiated the dismissal of Velychko-Tryfonyuk, who held the position of Deputy Minister for European Integration, following information about inappropriate conduct towards one of the agency's employees.

On the same day, the head of the European Integration and International Cooperation Department, Yevhen Shybalov, stated on Facebook that he left the ministry due to humiliation from a female leader.

For reference, Yevhen Shybalov is a veteran who has survived captivity in Russia. Ruslana Velychko-Tryfonyuk has held the position of Deputy Minister since June 26 of last year.

As a reminder, Timur Tkachenko proposes a new procedure for approving foreign business trips for city officials. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, initiated the approval of foreign trips through the Kyiv Defense Council with the participation of the SBU and police.
