The General Staff group conducted an inspection of the 156th Brigade.

A comprehensive group from the General Staff has begun its work in the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine following the decision of the Commander-in-Chief. Currently, it is operating in the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade. This was reported by the press service of the General Staff on Sunday, January 19.   The objective of this work is to assess the progress of the brigade's formation and to provide comprehensive assistance regarding organization and preparation for combat operations.   At present, the military unit has completed the staffing and has commenced basic military training under an updated program. Simultaneously, personnel selection for professional training is underway. The supply of weapons and military equipment is continuing according to plan.   However, during the inspection, a number of significant shortcomings were identified, and tasks have been set for the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to address these issues.   In particular, concerning:   - the replacement of part of the brigade's leadership and the appointment of a commander with combat and practical experience in command positions;   - the transfer of officers and sergeants who previously participated in combat operations to enhance the combat capabilities of the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade;   - improving the quality of practical training considering the experience of combat operations in the east;   - increasing the intensity and quality of training for UAV pilots and EW operators, as well as addressing several other issues that impact combat results.   "It should be noted that the mistakes that occurred during the formation and preparation of the 155th Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv have been taken into account, and measures are being implemented to prevent their recurrence in the future," the message added.   The General Staff group will continue its work in the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade.   Earlier, it was reported that the creation and support of the 155th Brigade "Anna of Kyiv," which underwent training in France, faced "chaos," which led to numerous desertions.
