The General Staff reported 88 enemy assaults in the Pokrovsk direction.

The Defense Forces are focusing their efforts on thwarting the plans of Russian invaders for an offensive and depleting their combat potential. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 180 combat encounters. This is stated in the General Staff report on Sunday, January 19.   The enemy carried out 24 airstrikes, dropping 34 guided bombs, deployed 961 kamikaze drones, and conducted over four thousand shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops' positions.   In the Kharkiv direction, Russian terrorists launched airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk and Volchanskye Khutory; additionally, the enemy attempted to breach our defenders' defensive lines near Volchansk three times.   Thirteen times, the enemy attacked our fortifications in the Kupiansk direction in the areas of Stroevoe, Peschanoe, Kolesnikovka, Zagryzovoe, Kutykovka, Nova Kruglyakovka, and Lozovaya. One combat encounter is still ongoing.   Ukrainian warriors repelled eighteen attacks near Novoegorovka, Nadezhda, Novosergeevka, Pervomaiskoye, Zelenaya Rosha, Makeevka, Novosadovoe, Zarechnoye, Kolodtsy, Zelenaya Dolina, Ternov, and in the Serebryansky Forestry in the Lyman direction.   In the Seversk direction, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the areas of Ivanodar'yevka and Verkhnekamenskoye, with two attacks from the invaders being repelled.   In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled seven attempts by the invaders to advance near Chasovoy Yar and Belaya Gora.   In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers stormed our defenders' positions 19 times today, in the areas of Toretskaya, Diliyevka, and Shcherbinovka. The Defense Forces are steadfastly holding the line.   The enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction. Throughout the day, the enemy launched 88 attacks. The highest activity of Russian occupiers is observed in the areas of the settlements of Zelenoe Pole, Aleksandropol, Vodyanoye Vtoroye, Yelizavetovka, Mirolubovka, Luch, Lisovka, Mirnograd, Pokrovsk, Zverevoye, Shevchenko, Udachnoye, Uspenovka, Kotlino, Nadeevka, Novotroitskoye, Novotroitskoye, Novotroitskoye, Andreyevka, Dachnoye, Ulakly, and Yantarnoye. Our defenders are courageously holding the lines, with five combat encounters still ongoing.   According to preliminary estimates, today in this direction, our warriors eliminated 150 and wounded 144 occupiers. Seven vehicles were destroyed, along with one armored combat vehicle, five communication devices, and significant damage was inflicted on one armored combat vehicle, a mortar, two portable electronic warfare stations, and one vehicle.   In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks throughout the day in the directions of Konstantinovka and Velikaya Novoselka. Two combat encounters are still ongoing. The enemy launched airstrikes with guided bombs in the area of the settlement of Novopol, dropping five guided bombs.   In the Gulyaipolsky direction, the enemy did not conduct any active operations.   In the Orekhovsky direction, Russian invaders stormed our defenders' positions once in the direction of Novoandreevka but were unsuccessful.   In the Dniprovsky direction, two enemy assaults were unsuccessful.   In Khursk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks from the invaders. According to updated information, the enemy carried out 12 airstrikes during the day, dropping 16 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 416 artillery shellings, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.   Meanwhile, there have been no significant changes in the situation on other fronts.   The General Staff noted the Ukrainian warriors of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel, the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavriya Brigade, and the 37th Separate Marine Brigade, who are steadfastly holding back the invasion of superior enemy forces.   It should be noted that on January 18, Russian troop losses in Ukraine amounted to 1,580 killed and wounded.
