The Estonian government has endorsed the proposal from Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to send Ukraine another package of military aid, which will include both equipment and ammunition. This was reported by the press service of the country's Ministry of Defense on Saturday, November 16.
"In a short time, it will be 1000 days since Ukraine successfully defended its freedom from the aggressor. Ukraine continues to require assistance from Estonia and the free world to protect itself. This time, the aid package has been assembled from the reserves of our defense forces, taking into account Ukraine's needs, while ensuring that Estonia's defense capabilities are not compromised," the minister stated.
The package will include naval uniforms, surveillance devices, sights, ballistic protection equipment, and various types of ammunition.
Pevkur assured that the announced aid package will not be the last, and soon the country will launch an annual support program for Estonian companies on a competitive basis, which will allow Ukraine to receive assistance in producing products from the Estonian defense industry. He added that this will not only support Ukraine but also benefit the economy and security of Estonia.
It should be noted that during his visit to Kyiv, Hanno Pevkur announced a new military package for the needs of the Defense Forces ahead of winter.
Earlier, it was reported that Estonia plans to change the structure of military aid to Ukraine, focusing it on products from Estonian enterprises.
Estonia has stated that support for Ukraine will determine the future of the EU
