A former official of the Kyiv municipal enterprise "Kyivpastrans" is suspected of embezzling over 1.8 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office on January 8 via Telegram.
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have brought charges against the former head of the Directorate for the Construction and Maintenance of Transport Facilities and Auxiliary Infrastructure of the enterprise. He is accused of misappropriating funds allocated for the repair of a dormitory.
According to the investigation, in June 2022, "Kyivpastrans" entered into an agreement with a contracting organization for the capital repair of a dormitory.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the former director colluded with the head of the contracting company. Together, they signed acts of completed work, even though most of it was either not done or not completed in full, and the cost of the work was significantly inflated. This resulted in losses to the Kyiv budget amounting to over 1.8 million hryvnias. The prosecutor's office has raised suspicions of large-scale misappropriation of state funds by a group of individuals acting in collusion.
Additionally, Politeka reported that the leader of the "Ternopil Hodaки" group, Mykhailo Yemelyanovych Polyuhа, is accused of embezzling 130 thousand hryvnias raised for the army.
