SubscribeSpecifically, this concerns potatoes, tomatoes, and cucumbers. In November, prices for popular vegetables in Ukraine continued to rise, with a noticeable increase. For instance, some varieties of cucumbers have become more expensive by nearly 60 hryvnias.
This information was made available thanks to timely updates from analysts at the economic portal Minfin.
Cucumber Prices
As of early November, the average price of cucumbers jumped from 101.64 UAH/kg to 121.85 UAH/kg. Smooth cucumbers soared in price from 100.54 UAH/kg to 157.70 UAH/kg. Long-fruited types increased from 77.58 UAH/kg to 129.00 UAH/kg, while prickly types went from 106.38 UAH/kg to 164.90 UAH/kg.

Tomatoes are also following cucumbers in price increases, but the rise is not as sharp: red tomatoes increased from 90.63 UAH/kg to 102.02 UAH/kg; pink tomatoes from 96.00 UAH/kg to 107.20 UAH/kg; and plum tomatoes from 78.08 UAH/kg to 89.89 UAH/kg.
1 Potato Prices
In contrast, potatoes have become more expensive compared to October prices, increasing by 10 UAH. At Metro, one kilogram of potatoes costs 27.87 UAH, at Auchan - 28.70 UAH, and at Megamarket - 34.90 UAH. The average price is around 30.49 UAH. Meanwhile, young potatoes are sold at Auchan for 39.90 UAH per kilogram.
