The number of fatalities in Poltava due to the Russian missile strike on a residential building has risen to seven, with another 14 individuals injured, including three children. This was reported by the Poltava Regional State Administration on Saturday, February 1.
In turn, the Office of the Prosecutor General clarifies that the injured children are aged 3 months, 8 years, and 12 years.
"22 people were rescued. More than 460 rescuers, law enforcement officers, and utility workers are currently at the scene. Almost 100 units of equipment are in operation. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police have provided assistance to 114 individuals," the statement said.
The entrance of a five-story building was destroyed, 18 nearby residential buildings were damaged, as well as a preschool facility and 12 vehicles.
