President Volodymyr Zelensky announced several significant appointments on January 19. The head of the Ukrainian state shared this information via Telegram on Sunday, January 19.
In particular, following a survey in the Army+ application, a new leader of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Sagaydachny has been appointed. Colonel Roman Kachur, who has extensive experience in frontline command, particularly with the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade, has taken this role.
"I spoke with Colonel Kachur - he has a vision for what needs to change in military education and specifically at the National Academy of Land Forces," stated the head of the Ukrainian state.
Brigadier General Gennady Shapovalov has also been appointed, who will collaborate with international partners in Wiesbaden, coordinating assistance to Ukraine in the security sector.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of training military personnel based on the experiences of war and the heroism of Ukrainian warriors, stressing that Ukraine needs strong leaders at the tactical level.
It is worth noting that Zelensky previously received reports from the Armed Forces command regarding the situation at the front and discussed some personnel issues with
military officials.
Recently, Volodymyr Zelensky
appointed a military ombudsman. The position has been filled by Olga Reshetilova. Currently, the main task is to prepare a draft law on the military ombudsman and establish all necessary systemic foundations for the functioning of this institution.
