Vibrant greetings for the Old New Year 2025: cards and images.

Every year, on the night of January 13th to 14th, Ukraine celebrates a special and beloved holiday — the Old New Year, also known as New Year's Reprise.

This holiday does not have an ecclesiastical status, and its date remains unchanged even after the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church transitioned to the New Julian calendar. However, the celebrations of Malanka (Saint Melania) and Saint Basil, which were previously observed on January 13th and 14th according to the old church calendar, have now been moved. They are now celebrated on December 31st and January 1st.

Each person decides for themselves whether to celebrate the Old New Year, but it is certainly a good idea to extend warm greetings to loved ones, wishing them health, success, the fulfillment of dreams, and, especially important, peace during these challenging times for Ukraine.
