For all our dear and respected readers interested in the socio-economic situation in Ukraine, there is very important information. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has approved the average salary indicator for 2024, which is used for pension calculations.

Over the past year, salaries have increased by 3,178 hryvnias. This was revealed by a statement from the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

According to the PFCU, the average salary in 2024 is as follows:

- January - 14,974.56 hryvnias;

- February - 15,267.60 hryvnias;

- March - 15,433.98 hryvnias;

- April - 16,847.98 hryvnias;

- May - 17,178.87 hryvnias;

- June - 18,806.63 hryvnias;

- July - 17,346.90 hryvnias;

- August - 17,001.36 hryvnias;

- September - 18,020.86 hryvnias;

- October - 18,704.98 hryvnias;

- November - 18,823.31 hryvnias;

- December - 21,698.99 hryvnias;

- average for the year - 17,486.60 hryvnias.

The data from the PFCU regarding salaries for pensions differs from the information provided by the State Statistics Service about the average salary of regular employees.

According to the State Statistics Service, from January to September 2024, salaries increased by 22.2% to 20,592 hryvnias. The State Statistics Service has not yet published data for the entire year of 2024.

The "Inflation Report" from the National Bank of Ukraine for October 2024 states that real wages of Ukrainians increased by 14.4% in 2024. However, the rise in inflation has led to a slowdown in growth rates, and this decline is expected to continue into 2025.

The Ministry of Economy forecasts that in 2025, the average salary will rise to 24,389 hryvnias. In real terms, wages are expected to increase by 8.1%.
