Ukrainians have been warned about an increase in water supply tariffs: find out who will face higher costs.

Starting January 1, 2025, new tariffs for water supply and wastewater services will take effect in the Zelenodolsk community of the Kryvyi Rih district.

The corresponding decision was made during a meeting of the community executive committee, taking into account economic factors and the need to cover the costs of maintaining the networks, writes Krivbass.

New tariffs for consumers

The following tariffs have been established for business entities operating in the field of centralized water supply or wastewater services:

• 71.52 UAH/cubic meter for water supply (including VAT);
• 37.54 UAH/cubic meter.

For other consumers:

• 75.82 UAH/cubic meter for water supply (including VAT);
• 37.54 UAH/cubic meter.

These tariffs reflect the increase in energy prices, the cost of technical water, compensation for losses during its transportation to Zelenodolsk, and a decrease in the volume of service consumption.

Compensation program for the population

To reduce the financial burden on residents, the city council has introduced a program to compensate for the difference in tariffs.

As a result, the tariff for the population will be:

• 56.00 UAH/cubic meter for water supply;
• 30.00 UAH/cubic meter for wastewater services.

These reduced tariffs will be effective from January 1 to March 31, 2025. After this period, the general economically justified prices will apply.

This decision has become a necessary step, considering the rising costs and the need to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the water supply and wastewater system for the community.
