Ukrainian supermarkets have adjusted prices for certain popular vegetables. Onions, tomatoes, and garlic have become more affordable. This is evidenced by monitoring data published on the "Minfin" portal.

Since the fall, prices for many vegetables have been rising at record rates. The increase continues even now, but at the same time, retail chains are lowering prices on some products. For instance, in the second half of February, tomatoes, onions, and garlic became cheaper.

Prices for Tomatoes

The average cost of red tomatoes has decreased from 123.91 to 96.45 hryvnias per kilogram. Pink tomatoes have dropped in price from 158.74 to 115.90 hryvnias per kilogram. Additionally, plum tomatoes have also become more affordable, with the average price falling by 40 hryvnias, down to 101.70 hryvnias per kilogram.

Prices for Onions

The average price of onions has fallen from 16.75 to 15.65 hryvnias per kilogram. At the same time, blue onions have increased in price from 34.02 to 36.90 hryvnias per kilogram, while white onions have risen from 86.03 to 91.95 hryvnias per kilogram.

Prices for Garlic

The cost of garlic in Ukrainian supermarkets has slightly decreased. The average price has gone down from 169.24 to 167.95 hryvnias per kilogram.
