Old-style passports remain valid
Holders of booklet passports do not need to update the stamp regarding their place of residence registration. Ukrainian law clearly regulates this issue: a change in the name of a street does not require new data to be entered into the identity document. This means that citizens can continue to use their passports as before.

What to do with ID cards?
For holders of modern plastic ID cards, proof of residence is a certificate from the territorial community registry. This document can be obtained in several ways:

  1. Contact the registration authority or the CNAP.
  2. Use the digital service "Dія".

Through "Дія", the certificate is generated quickly and conveniently. To do this, you need to go through electronic identification, and the document will appear in your profile. This solution is convenient for citizens, as it eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy. The lack of a need to update documents saves time and resources, and the ability to use digital tools makes access to necessary information easier.
