Important information for all our dear and respected readers who are related to pension payments. It has come to light that in Ukraine, pension payments may be suspended for some retirees. Citizens have now been informed of the main reasons for this "cutback."
Some Ukrainians may stop receiving their pensions on bank cards, and there are three reasons for this. The procedure for suspending pension payments is outlined in Article 49 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance."
This was revealed through a report from one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
Pension payments may be halted in three cases:
- if they were assigned based on documents containing false information;
- if the retiree has moved to a country where Ukraine has not signed a special pension agreement;
- if the retiree has passed away.
Additionally, if a retiree does not use their pension bank card for a year—meaning they do not withdraw money, make purchases in stores, or shop online—their pension payments may also be suspended.
To resume pension payments, it is necessary to contact the Pension Fund with a specific list of documents.
