The Budget Committee plans to introduce a new article that clearly defines the conditions for this additional payment. It stipulates that in 2025, non-working retirees may receive this payment if they have continuously lived in the area of mandatory or guaranteed voluntary resettlement since the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster, as reported by Sud UA.

The amount of the additional payment will be 2361 UAH. However, those who changed their place of residence after the disaster or moved to these territories after 1986 will not receive the payment. Payments will also be terminated if the retiree leaves their residence in these zones.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine must conduct a verification of the residence information of the recipients of the additional payment by January 1, 2025, to determine who will continue to receive payments and who will not.
