Ukrainians will have to spend even more money on their favorite vegetables as supermarkets have once again raised prices. This is evidenced by monitoring data published on the "Minfin" portal.

SubscribeIn the last months of 2024, the prices of vegetables began to rise significantly, and this trend continues into early 2025. For instance, cucumbers, tomatoes, and bell peppers are now priced higher than some types of meat.
Cucumber Prices
The average cost of cucumbers has increased from 115.69 to 119.90 hryvnias per kilogram. Smooth cucumbers have risen in price from 165.90 to 171.20 hryvnias per kilogram, while short-fruited cucumbers have slightly decreased in price, from 111.61 to 109.80 hryvnias per kilogram.

Pink tomatoes have surged in price from 144.38 to 179.90 hryvnias per kilogram. At the same time, red tomatoes have slightly decreased in price, from 122.36 to 113.25 hryvnias per kilogram. Plum tomatoes are also not encouraging in terms of price, even though the price has dropped slightly. On average, a kilogram will cost 142.45 hryvnias.
Pepper Prices
Bell peppers continue to rise sharply in price. If in December the average cost of the vegetable was 202.20 hryvnias, by early January, it skyrocketed to 218.60 hryvnias per kilogram.
