In Ukraine, the extraction of rock salt at the Tereblya deposit has been temporarily halted due to a conflict between co-owners of the mining company.

SubscribeThe dispute among the owners has led to the suspension of the enterprise's operations, and the situation is currently under judicial review. Myroslav Beletskiy, head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, noted that the situation is very complex since it involves corporate rights, which cannot be directly interfered with.
However, the authorities are trying to find ways to resolve the conflict and resume operations. According to Beletskiy, the Tereblya deposit contains significant salt reserves that could meet the country's needs, but due to the suspension of extraction, salt is not reaching the market.
Instead, Ukraine is forced to import salt from other countries, particularly from Egypt, which incurs additional costs and creates dependency on external supplies.
